Terminal Entry - 23 07 2277
Today was interesting, I thought I just got assigned a job, but actually I got to pick. The Overseer asked each department who needed new people and I got to choose from that list, luckily for me Vault Security was on the list so of course I picked this straight away!
So far I am just doing training though, tomorrow I get to shoot the plasma pistol. Something I have dreamed of doing since I was a little girl! I got to try on the extra Armour we get to wear as Security today it all fits okay apart from the chest plate, it was clearly made for men but hey I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I also got assigned a mentor her name is Lily, she is also part of the Security team. I think we will get on well together we're the only women in that are part of Vault security. She is very pretty though, and shes only a year older than me so hopefully we get partnered up more often on assignments.
I was lay in bed last night, and it got me thinking, No one alive in this vault has ever been to the surface or even knows what life is truly like outside of the vault. The Vault has been sealed shut since October 2077 when the bombs dropped. So far security has more been for the possibility of an outsider making it into the vault but I have always wondered what it would be like out there, The overseer always talks of horrid mutant creatures and feral people that lurk around every corner, I just want to see them for myself. But reclamation day is soon, only 3 more months to go now so hopefully we can explorer the wastes out there and use the G.E.C.K to establish a safe haven like Vault-Tec planned.
